2019.
January 23rd @ 17:27 \ Days are slowly getting longer. Life is ever moving forward while this spot is still fairly dormant. We’ll see what happens in Spring.
February 9th @ 16:43 \ The sun makes this cold bearable. The snow glitters and crunches. For the first time in ages I had a moment of appreciating winter.
March 11th @ 13:48 \ The shop opens tomorrow. I have some jitters like the first day of school. What will people say and think of all the hard work my mom and I have put into the space? Will they like our stuff? We’re very different from every other fabric store in the area. I like to think it will set us apart in a number of positive ways. Keeping a grasp on my work/life balance is going to be the biggest challenge...
April 7th @ 15:05
April 28th @ 15:05
May 27th @ 12:12 \ Today marks the start of the final year of photographing The Granary. I started on this day in 2009. A lot has changed during those years. Maybe now is the time to start seriously thinking about what I want to do with the photos of this place.
July 7th @ 16:53 \ I somehow let June pass without a visit. Days stretching long into night are a nice consolation for a rather melancholy summer thus far.
August 25th @ 17:15 \ Yesterday marks two years since the beginning of my Black Year. Four deaths in twelve months. As these anniversaries pass it’s wild to think back on how that was already two years ago. How it will be five, then ten and twenty in a flash. How much has changed in that short amount of time? The mourning has passed for the most part. Now it’s a melancholy shadow over the day when I remember and reflect on those lost. How I wish they were still with us as I have so much I want to share.
September 29th @ 15:19 \ Fall has fast approached. This year has sufficiently lacked a summer and we’re already into colder months. There was a brief stint of snow yesterday. The store has reached its six month mark which is odd in itself. Life ever racing forwards.
October 28th @ 16:41 \ Another year older, a new season makes itself known.
November 25th @ 16:29
December 25th @ 15:20 \ Last photo of The Granary for 2019. Five months left of this project which is pretty wild to think about.
