After I graduated from ACAD, my Mom, Dad, Nan and Uncle went out to the mountains for a four day road trip from Calgary to Banff and then to Jasper. I'm usually the one driving, so I'm not able to stick my camera out the window and take shots. I was able to do that for four days. Seeing the scenery, being with my family, my Nan and Uncle had never been to the mountains like that before and seeing them enjoy it and be spoiled made the trip all that better.

Even though I was so close to Banff the years I was in school, I didn't make it out there much. Familiarity breeds contempt.

We got really lucky and saw a bunch of animals, trees, mountains, went up glaciers and tramways. It was a fantastic trip, a really big send off from graduating school that was well worth the five year journey.
